She currently enjoys playing with smaller chamber groups Symphony by the Sea, the Orchestra on the Hill, and Lowell Chamber Orchestra.
Caroline loves playing in pit orchestras/bands for ballet, opera, and musical theater. Before moving to Boston, Caroline played violin for the Ohio Light Opera in Wooster, OH for three seasons. More recently, she has played with Commonwealth Lyric Theater (under the direction of Lidiya Yankovskaya), MassOpera, and Opera51.
As an advocate for equal access and representation in music, Caroline enjoys working as part of groups performing underrepresented composers, new music, and breaking the status quo. She plays in Expansion Quartet, a string quartet founded in 2025 dedicated to playing music by diverse composers. She has performed with Lilith Vocal Ensemble, a Boston-based gender nonconforming treble voice ensemble which regularly premieres new works. Caroline spent a year as a core member of Veronica Robles Mariachi Femenil, an all-women ensemble challenging the traditionally masculine culture of mariachi. Together with las mariachitas, Caroline performed at school programs, festivals, and concerts throughout Massachusetts, including at Symphony Hall for Concert for the City and as a featured artist with the Boston Pops.
Caroline holds a Master of Music in violin performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, where she also studied viola. She attended the College of Wooster in Ohio (B.A. in Comparative Literature); she also spent a year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA as a violin performance major studying with Cyrus Forough. Other influential teachers include Ellen-Maria Willis, Anna Williams, Laura Bossert, and Paula Majerfeld.
